bacon water chestnuts

yum! this is a favorite recipe from my grandmother (mam) that i use all the time for parties, dinners, and when i want to have some finger foods around. this will be great this fall for a football game or closer to the holidays as well. i wanted to share this yummy goodness with you :)

ingredients:
-1-2 packages of bacon (depending on how many you need/want)
-1 cup of brown sugar
-2 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce
-2 cups of ketchup
-2 8oz cans of whole water waterchestnuts
-toothpicks

details:
-pre heat your oven to 375
-in a bowl combine, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar
-cut each piece of bacon in half
-take piece of your bacon and wrap it around one water chestnut and secure it with one toothpick
-use cooking spray to prepare a cookie sheet or a baking dish (either one)
-place all of your bacon wrapped water chestnuts (with toothpicks) on your sheet and pop those in the oven
-let those cook for 10-15 minutes
-next, take your sauce mixture and drizzle that over the bacon bites
-pop those back into the oven for 30-35 minutes
-transfer the bacon bites to a serving piece and you have a very delicious appetizer!!

i hope you enjoy these as much as we do :)

have a great weekend xoxo
