Travel: Savannah Baby Moon

Hi Everyone! Happy Sunday :) Reed and I just got back from our mini baby moon to Savannah, GA and I wanted to share all the details from our trip and our pictures as well. We had a great trip and enjoyed Savannah! This is one area of the south that we haven't been to and have been wanting to check out. We had heard wonderful things and the trip turned out great. We started out on Wednesday driving down to Carrollton, GA which is where Reed has family members and we stayed with them on the way down and had a wonderful time visiting with his family.

On Thursday, we arrived in Savannah and checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Andaz which is a boutique hotel by Hyatt in downtown Savannah. We loved the hotel and the location as it was right in the middle of everything. We spent the day traveling by trolley through the downtown areas of Savannah. We booked a trolley tour for 2 days when we got to the hotel. We spent the day being tourists, shopping, and eating. We ate at Spanky's on the river for dinner which was great. On Friday, we had a full day! We started with a Civil War walking tour through the city (this is the only tour we booked ahead of time as they had several spots already full when we booked). The Civil War tour was great and then we ate lunch at Vince Van Go Go's pizza which is famous for it's New York style pizza slices. It was so good but we got more than we could eat haha! We also ran into a movie scene for Disney's The Lady and the Tramp movie that was being filmed right in the center of downtown Savannah. It was really neat to see.

After lunch, we hopped in the car and headed to Tybee Island which is located just 30 minutes outside the city. We enjoyed seeing the island and dipping our toes in the water. Then, we went to tour Fort Pulaski and Fort Jackson which was also outside of the city. We enjoyed touring these two historic landmarks outside of Savannah. Then, we went back to the hotel to rest before dinner. Dinner that night was at The Lady and Son's which is Paula Deen's restaurant downtown. It was fabulous! We loved it and ate too much :) Then, we booked a ghost tour for that evening which included touring two homes and a trolley tour. We really enjoyed this as well! Lastly, we grabbed ice cream at the famous Leopold's. The weather was perfect that night but definitely very hot throughout the day. I got tired pretty quick but enjoyed the busy day.

On Saturday, we headed out of Savannah early and drove towards Beaufort, SC to visit with our family friends that live there. We had breakfast at Blackstone's Cafe and walked around the downtown area. We enjoyed seeing Beaufort as well! We definitely plan to head back here as my aunt and her husband live here as well and we missed seeing them this time around. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy :) We had such a great Baby moon and enjoyed our time in Georgia & South Carolina. Enjoy the pictures and I would be happy to help with any questions about where we stayed or any of the tours we took. Thanks for stopping by :) xo Tesla

Fall Indiana Pumpkin Stand

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Every Fall I love visiting the Sandy Ridge Pumpkin Stand. I am not kidding the last 3 years I have purchased my pumpkins here and I just love visiting this sweet little place each Fall season in Indiana. Last year, I also purchased a few pumpkins for the porch at the Nashville Farmers Market but honestly they were awesome and had great colors but the pricing difference was unreal. It obviously makes sense with the location of a small town in Indiana compared to the city market in Nashville but I would chose the small town markets/stands any day.

This year, I got 4 large pumpkins for the front porch and literally 4 bags full of small pumpkins, gourds, and so much more all for $22!! Yes, you saw that right! They always have the greatest pumpkins, produce, and products for less. Sandy Ridge is located off of Highway 41 near Oaktown. It has a cute little red and white stand on the side of the road, you can't miss it! I am so excited it's finally time for Fall to decorate and whip out the pumpkins. I am hoping the weather cools down again and then we are set :) Have you put your pumpkins out yet and gotten your fall decor out? If you have, I would love to see your pictures as well! I always enjoy looking at others decorations and fall goodies. Here are some pictures of the Sandy Ridge Pumpkin & produce stand for you to enjoy and get in the fall spirit! I hope you enjoy and have a great week! xo Tesla
