Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday :)
It's a beautiful day in Tennessee, it is actually quite warm but I received a few requests wanting my grandma's hot apple cider recipe for the upcoming holiday's. It is truly so good and smells amazing. This would be a perfect recipe for a holiday party or for a chilly weekend night! For those of you who don't know, "Mam" is what I call my grandma on my mom's side. I know some of my readers aren't from my hometown and may not know that. You have seen Mam several times on the blog but wanted to formally introduce "Mam" haha. She made this for our Family Fall Fun Festival that I shared with you a few weeks ago and boy was it a hit (like always).
Here is the recipe:
ingredients:
(this is for an entire crockpot recipe- you can also make a smaller version of this on the stovetop)
-Aspen brand Mulling Spices carton The cinnamon orange blend (You can use a few tablespoons of this or use the entire carton if you desire it really depends how strong you would like this)
Check your local grocery store for any brand of this blend- this can be found at Kroger
-1 jug of apple cider
-6 cups of orange juice
-1 cup of sugar
-2 sticks of cinnamon
-1 whole nutmeg
details:
-pour all ingredients into your crockpot
-place the lid on and place on high for 2-3 hours
-you can also garnish this with slices of orange to give your pot some color or apples as well
-your cinnamon sticks will float in the crock pot and also make it look great and smell amazing
-enjoy the smells and a hot drink for the fall and winter
enjoy! :) If you ever make this recipe, I would love to see your pictures! Share away! Have a great weekend and thank you as always for stopping by.
