 and just like that... we're back! oh how time flies when you are truly having fun. for our one year anniversary, reed and i decided that we wanted to take a 9 day vacation to california. we wanted to do the old fashion road trip and rent a car and drive around the state. thats exactly what we did! this was our first time to travel to california and we absolutely loved it. 

our first stop on our anniversary trip was to san francisco. we were so excited to see all that san francisco had to offer especially visiting my best friend jordan and her boyfriend devin. it was so wonderful catching up with them and seeing them in their new city. they definitely played the tour guide roll perfectly and showed us around for the day. our hotel that we stayed at in downtown san francisco was simply our favorite. it was beautiful and i would definitely recommend this to anyone that is going to visit the area. i posted information below as a reference. 

in case you are traveling to san francisco or plan to in the future; i wanted to give you a detailed guide of everything we did with several links of how to find some of the specifics. here it goes:

saturday:

-checked in to our wonderful hotel called "the palace."

-walked around downtown san fran

-met jordan & devin to see the painted ladies houses

-toured golden gate park

-walked on the golden gate bridge

-ate lunch at tacolicious 

-saw the famous "lombard street"

-shopped at ghiradelli square and also had milkshakes at ghiradelli

-took selfies & walked around :)

-we parted ways with our tour guides and called it a night

sunday:

-toured alcatraz by using the alcatraz boat cruise and audio tour (we loved this)

-drove over the golden gate bridge to muir woods

drove around muir woods (which was beautiful)

-made a stop at muir beach (reed's first time dipping his feet into the pacific ocean) 

-then, we had to try the famous in-n-out burger (it is as good as everyone says it is)

-lastly, we drove to sonoma (more coming on that post later this week)

that was our san francisco agenda. i can't wait to share the rest of our vacation with you. my goal is to do an individual post per location in california that we visited. we did a lot in just 9 days and between a head cold and the time change we sure are feeling the change as we got home late last night ha! we enjoyed every bit of our one year anniversary trip. we had so much fun!! i hope you enjoyed this post about san francisco and again stay tuned for the following locations that we visited. we were able to take so many beautiful pictures and i just can't wait to share them with you.
